Star Wars Celebration Chicago

Hey everyone! Katie here!     It's been about a week since Star Wars Celebration Chicago ended and it's time for me put up a blog post summarizing the amazing weekend! This was my first experience with Star Wars Celebration and with conventions in general and it didn't disappoint! I had such a wonderful time and it was even better then I was expecting! Getting a Media Badge was such a blessing and surprise and I couldn't be more thankful for it!           Panels    Unfortunately, our train was late Friday morning and we did miss the Episode Nine panel, but we were able to watch a good part of the live stream which was awesome! The trailer was absolutely incredible and filled me with so many emotions, I'm not normally the kind of person who cries over movies but I have to admit I teared up at the end. I cannot wait to see what J.J. Abrams has been working on alongside such an incredible cast!     Even if the Sequel trilogy ...

Star Wars Celebration Day Three (Sunday)

Hey Everyone! Katie here!     Today was incredible, I met a couple people, found some amazing cosplayers, bought some super cool stuff, and went to an incredible panel!   When we first got in this morning we decided to get in line for the Celebration store and we got through the line fairly quickly! There was tons of cool exclusive merch in the store and I picked up two plushies and got a picture with the massive loth-wolf in the store! "Dume" I bought a white loth-wolf for myself and a Vulpex for Cailey!   After the Celebration store, we headed over to the HerUniverse booth where I picked up one of my favorite shirts from the Sisters of The Force collection, the Rey shirt! The shirt has one of my absolute favorite Star Wars quotes. The belonging you seek is not behind you, but ahead.     Next, we walked around a bit and then headed over to Wintrust arena to watch Alan Tudyk's panel and wait for the Clone Wars Sneak Peak! A...

Star Wars Celebration Day One (Friday)

Hey everyone! Katie here!     Time to tell you all about yesterday! We are currently waiting in line for the Rebels panel, and since we will be here for so long I figured I'd put up a blog post summarizing yesterday!     We came on the train yesterday, and unfortunately, it was two hours late and we missed Episode Nine (Rise of Skywalker) panel along with the Skytalkers Podcast panel but we made it to the Schmoedown panel which was so fun! After that, we wondered the convention floor and had a blast exploring different booths and meeting different cosplayers! We saw the Star Wars Mural and so many other cool things! Then we hung around the Star Wars Show stage and stood less than fifteen feet from people like Kelly Marie Tran, J.J. Abrams, and Kathleen Kennady! It was awesome!! Part of the Beautiful Mural!                                   ...

Rebels Remembered

Hey everyone! Katie here!!      Today is March 5th and exactly a year ago today the season four finale of Star Wars Rebels  premiered, bringing the much-loved show to an end.      To celebrate the amazing show and how much it meant to so many people today, using the hashtag #rebelsremembered, fans are taking to social media and sharing cosplays, fanart, fanfiction, edits, favorite moments, and memories.      So, I thought I would take a moment to share some of my favorite things about Rebels  today. Epilogue Ahsoka cosplay by McKenna Fellows ( @callmesnips ) Photo by Matthew Hunt                 Ahsoka Lives     When Ahsoka walked away from the Jedi order at the end of season five of the Clone Wars we didn't know where her story would go. She reappeared at the end of  The Seige of Lothal introducing her to Rebels  and her story continued. Ahso...

Star Wars Celebration Plans

Hey Everyone!        Katie here! So, with such a large variety of content coming out in the next few months I decided it would be a great time to jump back into blogging and podcasting. I want to try to get some sort of content out at least every other week and hopefully more over the summer!     With things coming out like the  Captain Marvel  movie and Star Wars: Queen's Shadow  by E.K Johnston within the next few weeks I'll definitely have plenty to talk about.     But, for today I'm going to be talking about Star Wars Celebration AND tell you my plans for Celebration.     That's right! I'll be attending Celebration Chicago! I received a Press Pass and will be there most of Friday and all of Saturday, Sunday, and Monday! Unfortunately, Cailey couldn't make it this year but I'm excited to be able to attend!     I'll be taking pictures and reporting about different announcements and panels taki...

Star Wars Theory's Vader Fan Film: Review

Hey everyone! Katie here!       Merry Christmas! The past few years we have aways had a Star Wars movie coming out in December. This year however, our Star Wars movie, Solo , came out in May. This left a kind of void in December that was normally filled by Star Wars. However, a YouTuber by the name of Star Wars Theory decided to change that, he put thousands of dollars, hundreds of hours, and gathered a group of talented people to create a fan film unlike any other we had seen before. And even better, he's just getting started. This was only the first episode in a series of episodes he hopes to make and release on Youtube. This one, titled Vader: Shards of The Past  was released December 4th. The film is very well put together and gives off the same vibe as many of the recent Vader comics. For a fan film it is extremely well done. Let's talk about it in a bit more detail though. The Cast   Many diff erent people auditioned for the fan film but in the end,...

Intervew with Melissa Thomas (aka Meltyartz)

Hey everyone! Katie here! We are so sorry for the lack of content lately! Life has been extremely busy (and will only become more so over the holidays!) We will do our absolute best however to make sure we still get some content up! The plan for the coming week is to get at least one video up to talk about the new Resistance  episode and to get our interview with Temi Blaev (The stable boy from TLJ) up on the blog! Right now though, here is our interview with the extremely talented Melissa Thomas! We've talked to her briefly before (During our Artist interviews) but this time we got to chat with her even more!   We've talked to you briefly before. Last time we really just talked about art but I'm sure there is plenty more to talk about! Can you tell us a little bit about your 'style' and how you've developed it? Glad to talk again with you girls! Thank you for inviting me to do this interview. I feel like my style is in this constan...
